Procedure
1. Purchase and collection of vehicles
The vehicles we purchase will be collected by our trucks designed to transport large numbers of scrapped
and end-of-life vehicles as efficiently as possible and at the same time in an environment-friendly way.
Every working day, our trucks collect about 25 to 30 vehicles.
The majority of the vehicles we purchase, originate from:
- Recycling premium of end-of-life vehicles
- Confiscation
- Insurance
- Public authorities
- Companies
- Private persons
2. Vehicle depollution
Within the frame of the present environmental legislation, our company applies production methods contributing
to vehicle depollution/recycling in an optimal and environment-friendly way. The vehicle will be depolluted by
means of an installation specially developed to depollute end-of-life vehicles as efficiently as possible.
The waste products removed from the vehicle are:
- The battery
- The tyres
- The catalytic converter
- The oils (motor oil, gearbox oil, brake oil, …)
- The liquids (coolant, windscreen washer fluid, …)
- The fuel (petrol, diesel, LPG)
- The air-conditioning gas
- Etc.
3. Disassembly and sale
We distinguish 3 categories of vehicles:
- Vehicles destroyed immediately after depollution
- Vehicles stalled in our vehicle park after depollution for sale of parts
- Vehicles dismantled immediately after depollution for export purposes
4. Vehicle destruction
The rest of the car wreck will be compacted in our own mobile shredder. In this way, the trucks can transport larger quantities of wrecks in one ride, which is better for the environment and road traffic.
5. Administrative destruction
The chassis number will be deleted from the Belgium vehicle repertory. We will also destroy the vehicle registration documents.
6. Wreck disposal
The pressed wrecks will be transported to the Group Galloo recycling, where all pressed wrecks will be shredded. This shredder will process and treated the compacted wreck entirely. The ferro and non-ferro metals will be separated automatically in this installation and processed into raw materials or semi-finished products for other new products.
