The famous junkyard was founded in 1968 by Mr. Jacques Vanlingen under the name Junkyard Jacques Vanlingen. Over the years, the company quickly got a familiar name. And with around a collection of 10,000 vehicles on site, it quickly became Belgium's largest junkyard.

Due to stricter environmental legislation, the company became a Car Recycling Company in 2003 instead of dismantling a car and changed its name to Autorecycling Carlo Vanlingen nv. During this period, the company has experienced great growth. The industrial park is now mostly covered with a liquid-tight floor that prevents oil from seeping into the underground. And the new commercial buildings, with an area of more than 3,500 m², are specially designed for the smooth flow of the vehicles to be treated.
